History
Timsah Shipbuilding Company is one of the Suez Canal Authority affiliated companies. It was established in 1961 with two shipyards specialist in shipbuilding and ship repairs. The first shipyard is located in Ismailia and the other one is in Alexandria. The company has various offshore fleet supported with (OSV, DP2, ROV, supply tugs, accommodation barges and crew boats) working with petroleum companies’ services and underwater services.

Timsah Shipbuilding Company layout
The future vision of Timsah Shipbuilding Company is to get best use of the total area of the company. In the right side, the management buildings will be renewed and reorganized to make best use of space and utilities. Four new roof truss buildings will be built to be workshops. In the left of the company lies the syncrolift. It has lifting capacity up to 1500 tons, 4 parking ways 100 m length each and 2 parking ways 60 m length each. Two new dry docks will be added with an outfitting quay to support them.
